Age is the leading factor for the ability of women to conceive. Knowing this many women are still working for conceiving even in the later years of their lives. As mentioned before that age is the leading factor so what happens when a woman advances in her age to her reproductive health? Normally the ability of her ovary to produce normally and the health of eggs do decline with advancing age. This results in increased risks of abnormality among their babies of chromosomal abnormality and most of time unsuccessful implantation of sperms. This can result in malformed babies.

Some of the other factors other than age do also contribute for the women's infertility or conceiving or carrying a baby. The factors involved are termed as endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pituitary tumors and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Below is the description for these interfering diseases.

Endometriosis:

This is a condition in which the tissue membrane lining the uterus grows out the uterus covering it. The tissue membrane is named as "Endometrium". According to an estimate the percentage of infertile women suffering from this abnormality is 25 to 50. The outgrowth of membrane results in covering the opening which can lead the blood from monthly menses out of body, at the end of the cycle. This accumulation of tissues can result in inflammation and other problems.

The symptoms which are associated to this abnormality are pain, cramping during and before periods, pain during sexual intercourse, fatigue, diarrhea, constipation and infertility.

Pelvic Inflammatory disease:

This disease in women can be a result of sexually transmitted or from miscarriage, abortion or child birth.

The symptoms for this disease include abdominal pain, tenderness, fever and unpleasant smelling discharge from vagina. If you are suffering from this disease then it is likely you have repeated attacks.

According to an estimate 20 percent of the infertility among women is the cause of this disease.

Pituitary Tumors:

These tumors can result in faulty secretion or in some cases may result in complete decline of hormone secretion. This can result in the cessation of menstrual cycle in women and in men it can lead to destructive sperm production. This can also result in the visual field defects.

Polycystic Ovarian syndrome:

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is also termed as Stein-Leventhal syndrome and also as Hyperandrogenic Chronic Anovulaiton. This is the long term disability to release eggs to uterus. In uterus eggs are fertilized and this process is named as Ovulation. PCOS is the major cause of infertility around the world. This disease occurs in nearly 10 percent of all women while 30 percent of women have appearance of some characteristics of POCS. Most of the women who are passing through the syndrome have multiple benign cysts in their ovaries. In this condition, insulin levels stimulate excess androgen production, which can result in unfertilized eggs to disintegrate.

The symptoms for this disease include: irregular menstrual periods and ovulation, obesity, insulin resistance, acne and excessive growth of facial hair.
